Jack became interested in magic when he was twelve years old and his uncle Martin showed him the secrets of three card monte. After many years as a student of the most difficult branch of magic, sleight-of-hand, Jack left a career as a professor of mathematics and chairman of the mathematics department at Queens College, CUNY, to become a full-time performer.
Jack believes in living life, not just watching it pass by. He is a licensed pilot, a mountain climber and a long distance bicycle tourer. In another performing realm, he has had acting roles in over a dozen plays in community theater on Long Island.
Jack holds Ph. D. and M. A. degrees in mathematics from Princeton University and a B.A. from Queens College.
He is member of the Society of American Magicians, the International Brotherhood
of Magicians and the distinguished British Magic Circle.
Jack lives with his wife in New York City.
